Dealing with Change

Before the course

Pre-course work is an integral part of the program and forms part of the course. To ensure you get the most out of the program please undertake the following tasks:

  • Read the document, A Lifetime of Change, and draw your own lifetime of change graph
  • List the 2 most challenging changes that have occurred in your life and describe what made them so challenging
  • Ask yourself the question "What are the most important areas of my life?" Write down your response and bring it along to the course.

After 2 weeks

Now that you’re back in the demands of day-to-day work, take the time to revisit your action plan and your manual.

  • Which of the 2 strategies have you been implementing and what have been the effects of using them?
  • Take the opportunity to review your Change Plan. Do you need to make any changes or adjustments to your plan?
  • To gain confidence in using the GROW Model we encourage you take a colleague through the process.

After 4 weeks

The following activities will support you in your goal to thinking creatively and generating innovative ideas.

  • Review your Change Map and identify another area where you feel you need to be managing change even more productively.
  • Take yourself through the GROW Model to create a Change Plan.
  • Commit to an action plan.
