Course Resources:

Safety in the Workplace

Before the course

Pre-course work is an integral part of the program and forms part of the course. To ensure you get the most out of the program please undertake these tasks:

  • Access and review your workplace’s safety or OHS policy.
  • Consider how effective this policy is in practice. Are there any aspects that could be improved?
  • If there isn’t a policy currently in existence, consider the kind of information you could include if you were responsible for establishing one.

Bring your work along on the first day of your course. Pease contact us by email at info@TP3.com.au or phone 1300 658 388 if we can be of any assistance.

After 2 weeks

Now that you’re back in the demands of day-to-day work, take the time to revisit your action plan and your manual.

In particular you might want to review some of the key concepts from the course:

  • Review your organisation’s workplace safety policy. If there isn’t one, consider developing one based on the principles you learned during training.
  • Review the Sample of a Typical Checklist of Issues for In-House Systems on the Workplace Safety Australia website. Consider creating a similar checklist for your organisation.

Please contact us by email at info@TP3.com.au or phone if we can be of any assistance, or if you would like any feedback on your post course work.

After 4 weeks

The following activities will support you in achieving your continuous improvement goals:

  • Consider the safety culture in your workplace. Reflect on whether the culture is participative around OHS.
  • What could you do to ensure that employees and management are actively involved in the OHS arrangements in your workplace?

Please submit responses by email to info@TP3.com.au or fax to 02 9290 3597 or
03 9629 1977. We would love to hear about your results!
