Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
In June 2010 the Industry Skills Council endorsed a new qualification TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Over the next 12 months this qualification will replace the TAA40104 Training and Assessment qualification.
What is TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment?
This program is the foundation qualification for trainers and assessors. It incorporates the
3 key elements of training: design, delivery and assessment. This program incorporates adult learning methodologies, theories, group discussions and practical hands-on activities.
This new and enhanced qualification creates higher standards in training and assessment and provides training that is more relevant to the workplace.
How do I get the TAE qualification?
To obtain this qualification will depend upon what you have completed in the past.

Obtaining the TAE Qualification
To obtain your TAE qualification you are required to attend 3 modules:
To complete these 3 modules you can either:
· Attend 9 days of training over a 3 month period or
· Attend a 6 day INTENSIVE training program for experienced trainers and assessors.
After attending these courses you will be able to complete an assessment for each course. Once you have achieved competency you will receive your TAE qualification.

Learning options
You can complete the qualification with TP3 in 3 ways:
1. Attending selected public courses and completing assessment tasks in the workplace*
3. Having your prior learning and existing skills recognised through RPL
*The price of the course includes initial assessment.
