Take time to revisit your action plan, written during the course, and your course workbook.

You might want to review some key concepts from the course, and complete these activities:

  • Source the 3 financial statements for your organisation:
    • Analyse them and then explain what you have noticed to a colleague or your manager.
    • Using this information calculate the critical performance factors.
    • What recommendations would you make?
  • Use the Glossary in your course workbook to become comfortable using common financial terms used within your business. Test yourself by covering the definitions first to see what you do know.

4 weeks after the course

These activities can assist you in enhancing your financial skills:

  • Read the article ‘How to Beat the Budget Blues
  • Review and analyse your budget:
    • Identify any areas for improvement.
    • Are there any areas of concern?
    • What are 3 key actions that you could undertake to potentially improve the financial performance?
