Let's get learning!  Get more out of your course with these learning resources from TP3.

Before the course

Want to get the most out of this experience? To prepare for your Performance Coaching course, please:

  • What would you like to achieve as a result of completing the program? Note down your objectives for undertaking this program.
  • Think about your experiences of coaching - at work, in a sporting team, or your personal life. What made those experiences good or bad?

2 weeks after the course

Take time to revisit your action plan, written during the course, and your course workbook.

You might want to review some key concepts from the course, and complete these activities:

  • Give yourself a challenge; explain the GROW Model to at least 2 people. This helps you in understanding and remembering the process.
  • To help you become even more confident in coaching, engage in self-coaching. Determine what you might want to develop as a coach and take yourself through the GROW Model. Continue to self coach for the next month and notice the results.
  • Discuss the outcome of your self-coaching session with your Manager.

4 weeks after the course

These activities can assist you in enhancing your coaching skills:

  • Reflect on what has changed for you since you have been self-coaching:
    • What have been the highlights?
    • How has it influenced your performance at work?
    • What do you want to further develop?
  • Identify at least 3 individuals to coach. Commit to having a coaching conversation every week for at least 4 weeks.
  • After every coaching session reflect on your coaching abilities:
    • What did you do that worked well?
    • What would you do differently?
  • After the month of coaching, ask for feedback from your coachees and discuss your reflections with your Manager.
