Certificate IV in Frontline Management is a course for team leaders, supervisors, and coordinators wanting to develop their supervisory and leadership skills. TP3 courses focus on both acquiring knowledge and skills, and applying them at work. This qualification best fits people with strong technical skills working in a frontline management role with responsibility for the performance of others. Typically they report to a manager.

In this module you will develop the skills and knowledge required to plan one's own work schedules, to monitor and to obtain feedback on work performance and development. It also addresses the requirement to take responsibility for one's own career planning and professional development.
Mobilising a Team & Managing Talent
Promote team effectiveness (BSBWOR402A)
In this module you will develop the skills and knowledge required to promote teamwork. It involves developing team plans to meet expected outcomes, leading the work team, and proactively working with the management of the organisation. As a frontline manager, you play a prominent part in team planning, supervising the performance of the team and developing team cohesion. You will learn how to bridge the gap between the management of the organisation and the team members.
Undertake project work (BSBPMG522A)
In this module you will learn the skills and knowledge required to undertake a straightforward project or a section of a larger project. This module addresses the management of projects, including developing a project plan, administering and monitoring the project, finalising the project, and reviewing the project to identify lessons learned for application to future projects. As a frontline leader you will learn project-management skills such as the ability to meet timelines, quality standards, budgetary limits and other requirements set for the project.

In this module you will develop skills and knowledge required to implement the operational plan by monitoring and adjusting operational performance, producing short term plans for the department/section, planning and acquiring resources and providing reports on performance as required. As a frontline manager you are actively engaged in planning activities to achieve the measurable, stated objectives of the team and the organisation. This key role is carried out to provide safe, efficient and effective products and services to customer satisfaction within the organisation's productivity and profitability plans.
Delivering Dynamic Presentations
Make a presentation (BSBCMM401A)
As a frontline leader you will make presentations for a range of purposes, such as marketing, training, promotions, etc. This module will help you develop your presentation skills and knowledge to improve communication in presenting a range of concepts and ideas.
Coaching & Mentoring Future Leaders
Develop teams and individuals (BSBLED401A)
As a frontline leader you have the responsibility to provide guidance or to delegate aspects of tasks to others. In this module you will touch on your broad knowledge of learning and development and apply your skills in addressing development needs to meet team objectives.
Establish effective workplace relationships (BSBWOR401A)
As a frontline leader, you play an important role in developing and maintaining positive relationships in internal and external environments so that customers, suppliers and the organisation achieve planned outputs and outcomes. In this module you will develop the skills and knowledge to motivate, mentor, coach and develop team cohesion through providing leadership for the team and forming the bridge between the management of the organisation and team members.
Effective Business Writing

In this module you will improve and develop your skills in the creation of reports, basic correspondence, general promotion documents, memos or forms that require review and analysis of a range of information sources.
Ensuring Workplace Safety
Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet to legislative requirements (BSBWHS401A)
In this module you will review your supervisory responsibilities for implementing and monitoring the organisation’s WHS policies, procedures and programs in a work area. During this module you will review your organisation’s WHS policies through analysis and evaluate your role in providing supervision and guidance to others in your organisation.
You can complete the qualification with TP3 in the following ways:
- Enrol in a public course with people from different organsiations
- Complete face to face training as an in-house group exclusive to your organisation
- Have your prior learning and existing skills recognised through RPL (recognition of prior learning)
To attain this qualification, you complete assessment activities in class and at work, which must be marked as competent. Assessments typically involve a combination of activities, including answering written questions, reviewing case study scenarios, preparing written reports and completing workplace projects.
